1. Meaning of Lease Contract

2. Essential Elements of a Valid Lease

For a lease contract to be valid under Nepalese law, it must include:

*Offer and Acceptance: Mutual agreement between lessor and lessee.

*Legal Capacity: Both parties must have the legal ability to enter into a contract.

*Lawful Object: The purpose of the lease must be legal.

*Consideration: There must be a monetary or equivalent value exchanged.

*Possession Transfer: The lessee gains the right to use the asset, but not ownership.


3. Types of Lease Contracts
